In Slidell Ponchartrain Drive at Broad reopened yesterday after being shut down for more than 45 minutes for an airlift of two wounded men.
According to Slidell Police, two men were doing storm recovery work when they were both struck by a tractor. The tractor apparently slipped into gear and ran over the men.
Both men suffered severe injuries which prompted the airlift.
No word on the extent of their injuries.
Police said the incident is being classified as an accident.
