The owner of the Saints and Pelicans makes Forbes list of richest people in the country.
Gayle Benson ranked number 300 on the list of 400 wealthiest Americans.
At the age of 74, Ms. Benson, widow to former Saints and Pelicans owner Tom Benson, is worth $3.8 billion.
Ms. Benson is the only person from Louisiana to make the Forbes list.
Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos is number one, worth 201 billion dollars. At number two is Tesla and Space X founder Elon Musk, followed by Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Google’s Larry Page rounding out the top five.
