STHS says recent inpatient census figures and testing data show signs that the health system may be past the peak of the fourth COVID-19 surge.
Yesterday, with 199 patients in the hospital, only 33 were in COVID care, numbers they haven’t seen since July.
Vaccination rates across the parish are closing in on 50%.
The number of positive tests compared to the total seeking tests is looking better this week than in months.
