Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller reminds residents that Tangipahoa Parish remains under a burn ban post-Hurricane Ida.
The ban, which has been in effect since Aug. 31, 2021, prohibits burning anywhere in Tangipahoa Parish.
Miller said the burn ban was necessary because of a number of contributing factors, including low water pressure in several portions of the parish.
The State Fire Marshal has also issued a burn ban across the hurricane-impacted areas. Anyone caught violating the order will be cited by officials.
