
Yesterday the Louisiana Department of Health reported 6,606 new #COVID19 cases.
The vast majority (99.2%) of these cases were tied to COVID spreading in communities, rather than congregate settings like nursing homes.
3,022 individuals are hospitalized with COVID across Louisiana, yest again breaking a record as the highest number at any point since the beginning of the pandemic, surpassing yesterday’s record of 3,012.
Since July 1, there have been only two days where the difference from the day before was negative, indicating the record was not broken from the previous day.
This update represents increases across all regions and age groups.
87 new COVID deaths were reported.
