
Yesterday the Louisiana Department of Health reported 3,691 new COVID-19 cases.
The vast majority (98.3%) of these cases were from COVID spreading in communities, rather than congregate settings like nursing homes.
3,012 individuals were hospitalized with COVID across Louisiana, the highest number at any point since the beginning of the pandemic and surpassing the previous day’s record of 2,956.
This update represents increases across all regions and age groups.
They also reported 122 new COVID deaths.
