People will need to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test before entering New Orleans restaurants, bars, and other venues, including the Caesars Superdome, Mayor LaToya Cantrell announced yesterday.
New Orleans will become one of the first cities in the country to issue such an order, which goes into effect on Aug. 16. No capacity limits have been announced. Other cities that have announced similar measures include New York City and San Francisco.
Some restaurants and music venues in the city have already implemented their own vaccine mandates.
