The mask mandate is back in New Orleans after Mayor Latoya Cantrell said the COVID numbers have surged among the unvaccinated.
In an attempt to set the example, she said the city will now require all 4,000 city employees to get vaccinated. Mayor Cantrell said she is not fearful of losing city workers, but she is more fearful of them losing their lives.
On top of a city-wide indoor mask mandate, Mayor Cantrell also asks the New Orleans business leaders to require vaccinations of their employees.
