North Oaks Medical Center’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Peltier says the Hammond hospital has surpassed the previous records for COVID hospitalizations as of yesterday.
He said Tangipahoa and Livingston have some of the worst outbreaks and least vaccinations in the country. But he added that vaccinations have increased in recent days and he is hopeful that locals will continue to get vaccinated.
