With Louisiana seeing another dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations as the Delta variant spreads across the state, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell told the city it’s time to mask up again.
Cantrell says the indoor mask advisory even includes people who are vaccinated, like herself.
Cantrell urged all of those eligible to get the shot to do so. She said vaccination was important because not enough people were vaccinated to stop COVID from spreading.
The mayor did not announce any capacity limits or other restrictions, but said the only way to avoid going back is to mask up and get the shots.
