There will be a volunteer Litter Cleanup in Hammond in District 1 on Saturday, July 17, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Volunteers will meet at ‘Martin Luther King Park’ at 600 Martin Luther King Ave. in Hammond.
Pick-up sticks, vests, gloves and trash bags will be distributed.
This event is organized by Councilman Andrews of Council District 1, Keep Hammond Beautiful and the City of Hammond. This activity can be used for students who need service hours or Community Service hour requirements.
