The body of a 14 YO female runaway was found last week, in a secluded wooded area just east of Ponchatoula.
Chief Jimmy Travis says the body of Taysia Folse, a runaway from the New Orleans area, was reported by a driver who was passing the area and noticed what appeared to be a lifeless body lying in a grassy area.
Tayisa’s cause of death is undetermined, however, there were no signs of physical trauma to the body.
Detectives are looking for any information that will help in putting the last moments of Tayisa’s life together. This investigation is on-going. Anyone with information is asked to call the TPSO at (985) 345-6150, or Crime Stoppers (800) 554-5245.
