On April 19, 2021, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Department began an investigation that resulted in 6 arrests.
Those arrested include: 44 YO Lee Chabaud of Loranger (W/M) – Charged with (4) four counts Convicted Felon in Possession of a firearm, Possession of a Firearm with an obliterated serial number, Possession of Stolen things, and (2) two counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm. 59 YO Ronald Basso of Loranger, 36 YO April Prine of Loranger, 25 YO Jason Tarver of Loranger, 21 YO Brandon Gonzales, and 25 YO Brandi Gonzalez.
The investigation began on April 19, 2021, after a “log splitter” was reported stolen from a piece of property on W. Bennett Rd. of Independence.
Currently, detectives are still searching for the utility trailer bearing Louisiana license plate L410801 and vin number 4YMUL0818BT009100, as well as the 21-ton Troy Bilt log splitter. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, (800) 554.5245.
