Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced that the railroad crossing at Foulks Lane on the north side of Amite will be closed Monday, June 28, through Wednesday, June 30.
Canadian National Rail requested the road closure so they can make replacements and repairs at the crossing. Foulks Lane will be closed from its intersection with US 51 starting at 6 a.m. on Monday. Officials anticipate the roadway will not reopen until approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday.
