DA Scott Perrilloux reports that 47 YO, Brad Core, of Tickfaw, pleaded guilty to felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and other sexual crimes.
On August 15, 2018, Hammond Police Department notified Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office that Brad Core, a Hammond Police Officer, confessed to having a sexual relationship with a juvenile.
Following his confession, an investigation was initiated by TPSO at the request of HPD.
The victim’s interview revealed Cores’ participation in illegal sexual activities with a juvenile, under the age of thirteen, that occurred in Tangipahoa Parish.
On August 22, 2018, a warrant was issued for Core’s arrest. Core traveled to the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office to turn himself in.
Brad Core was sentenced to 15 years with the department of corrections. Time is to be served without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Upon completion of his prison sentence, Core is required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
