
A Slidell man was rescued after he got sick while working inside a water tower Thursday.
According to St. Tammany Fire District No. 1, the City of Slidell called firefighters to a water tower on Robert Boulevard to rescue a city employee. The employee was inside the water tower and reported that he was feeling ill and was going to pass out.
A high-angle rescue was used to get the worker to safety.
After a successful extraction the employee was taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to the fire department.
