In New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said she was honored to welcome President Biden to New Orleans yesterday, and to host him on a tour of the S&WB plant in Carrollton.
President Biden spent a little over an hour touring the Sewerage and Water Board’s water plant. She said it presented a priceless opportunity to speak with him directly about critical infrastructure needs, specifically power for the city’s pumping system, and a wholesale modernization of the city’s drainage capacity.
Earlier in the day President Biden visited the Lake Charles area. He was in the state promoting his infrastructure plan.
