The St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Carroll Road near Slidell Wednesday night.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday STPSO deputies were dispatched to the area of Carroll Road and Shady Lane near Slidell in reference a crash which occurred between a Nissan Altima and a bicycle. The bicyclist sustained extensive injuries and was airlifted to a Southshore hospital. He was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the Altima, Angela M. Brockhoeft was arrested and has been booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on DUI (Second Offense) and First Degree Vehicular Negligent Injuring.
