
Super Lion Saturday was a hit over the weekend at Southeastern.
Southeastern football hit game-winning 21-yard field goal with two seconds remaining to give the No. 18 Lions a 27-24 victory over Northwestern State at Strawberry Stadium. Baseball extended its winning streak to seven, sweeping a Southland Conference doubleheader from Sam Houston in walk-off fashion, 3-2 in seven innings and 7-6 at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Southeastern’s volleyball team handed Southland Conference-leading Stephen F. Austin its first conference loss of the season Saturday. The win snapped SFA’s 42-match winning streak in Southland play. And the softball team completed its Southland Conference series sweep of Lamar with a 7-3 victory on Saturday afternoon at North Oak Park.
