
Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 441 new #COVID19 cases, bringing the total number of cases reported to the state to 435,935.
96% of the cases reported were community spread. 4% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (23%) accounted for the largest portion of the cases.
There were 16 deaths reported, bringing the current total death count to 9,828.
There were 514 people in hospitals and 64 required ventilators.
The Department is reporting an additional 51,576 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has administered 1,272,139 doses, including 470,149 completed two-dose series. The percent positivity rates continue to drop in the Northshore parishes, and along the Southshore.
