STHS says exciting progress continues on the COVID front in St. Tammany. Hospitalizations continue their downward trend, with 13 patients in COVID care out of an inpatient census of 147.
Since the pandemic began, they have discharged 1,063 from COVID care. As for prevention, they have already administered 12,912 COVID vaccines and will continue to issue them according to Louisiana Department of Health rules.
STHS asks residents to please continue with all other mitigation measures, particularly mask-wearing, distancing and handwashing.
STHS offers vaccines by appointment through MyChart or 985-898-4001. Convenient locations include the main hospital, Express Care in front of Flower Estates and the Cordes Pavilion on Bootlegger Rd. They had great success with pop-up Saturday clinics in Folsom, Madisonville and Mandeville, and will certainly do that again if they receive state shipments of vaccine in quantities appropriate to warrant it.
