Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 779 new #COVID19 cases.
Of those cases, 624 were confirmed and 155 were probable. 94% of the cases reported were community spread, 6% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (21%) and 30 and 39 (17%) accounted for the largest portions of the cases. 33 new deaths were reported, bringing the current total death count to 9,561. There were 679 people in hospitals with 100 requiring ventilators.
The Department is reporting an additional 68,028 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 925,991 doses, including 332,415 completed two-dose series.
