
Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,393 new #COVID19 cases.
Of those, 709 were confirmed and 684 were probable cases. 99% of the cases reported were community spread. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (18%) and ages 40 and 49 (17%) account for the largest portions of the new cases. 26 new deaths have been reported to the state, bringing the current total death count is 9,503. There were 715 people in hospitals with 111 requiring ventilators.
The Department reported an additional 45,001 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 857,963 doses, including 294,232 completed two-dose series.
