Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday afternoon for a former seven-term member of the Tangipahoa Parish Council. Ronnie Bankston died Saturday, Feb. 20. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from noon to 2 p.m. at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home in Hammond. At 2:30 p.m., mourners will gather for a graveside service for the former councilman at Rose Memorial Cemetery, located at 908 Western Avenue near the Southeastern Louisiana University campus.
