Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 2,739 new #COVID19 cases. Of those cases, 1,827 were confirmed and 912 were probable. 98% of the cases reported were community spread. 2% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (18%) and 5 and 17 (17%) accounted for 35% of the cases. 27 new deaths were reported bringing the current total death count to 9,239. There were 1,052 patients in hospitals with 151 on ventilators. The Department of Health reported an additional 61,973 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 699,334 doses, including 217,324 completed two-dose series.
