The announcement is expected at 11 a.m.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell said the city of New Orleans will be announcing an official plan for crowd control ahead of Fat Tuesday this morning. This comes after a video of crowds on Bourbon Street went viral over the weekend. Cantrell said she is really concerned about Mardi Gras, the potential for superspreaders and because of that they’ve been working to have a plan in place as they move toward Mardi Gras Day.
