Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 2,654 new #COVID19 cases. Of those cases, 1,990 were confirmed and 664 were probable. 98% of the cases reported were community spread. 2% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (16%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (15%) account for 31% of these cases. There were 31 additional deaths reported, bringing the current total death count to 8,621. There were 1,646 people in hospitals and 217 requiring ventilators. The Department is reporting an additional 43,566 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 357,894 doses, including 46,765 completed two-dose series. Louisiana will receive 67,350 doses of vaccine next week. This week our allotment was 58,150.
