Dept of Health Update

Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 3,604 new #COVID19 cases. Due to planned maintenance, the data reported yesterday only include lab reports from 1/23/2021. Sunday’s case and test data will be included in Monday’s update. 95% of the cases reported were community spread. 5% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (18%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (16%) accounted for 34% of the cases. 82 deaths reported, bringing the current total death count to 8,565. There were 1,641 people in hospitals with 215 requiring ventilators.
