The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the 35,000 block of Hwy 1036 (N of Holden) in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival Sheriff Jason Ard says deputies discovered the body of one male. The deceased was believed to have died from injuries caused by a gunshot wound. Another person – a female – was injured by a gunshot wound to the arm. She was treated for the non-life threatening injury. Ard said detectives are following the evidence in this case and someone may know details.
