Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 3,856 new #COVID19 cases. Of those cases, 2,693 were confirmed and 1,163 were probable. 95% of the cases reported were community spread. 5% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (17%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (16%) accounted for 33% of the cases. There were 59 new deaths reported, bringing the current total death count to 8,442. There were 1,800 people in hospitals and 233 requiring ventilators. The Department reported an additional 33,596 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 301,316 doses, including 40,863 completed two-dose series. This data will be updated every Tuesday and Thursday.
