Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 2,126 new #COVID19 cases. Of those cases, 1,771 were confirmed and 355 were probable cases. 97% of the cases reported were community spread. 3% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (16%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (18%) account for 34% of these cases. 71 new deaths were reported bringing the current total death count to 8,324. There were 1,905 people in hospitals and 249 required ventilators. The Department also reported an additional 66,343 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has administered 267,720 doses, including 35,589 completed two-dose series. This data will be updated every Tuesday and Thursday.
