On January 12, at approximately 8:21 pm, Hammond Police responded to the Family Dollar at 125 North Morrison Boulevard, in response to an armed robbery. HPD Officers spoke with the manager who stated as she was closing the store that a black male entered the store, selected items from the shelf, placed the items at the cash register, indicated he had a firearm and demanded money. The suspect then removed $380 from the cash drawer and exited the store. The suspect vehicle was seen driving north on North Morrison Boulevard.
