The Hammond Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred on January 5, at approximately 2:30 pm, at Rende’s Quick Stop, located at 306 West University Avenue. Security footage shows a black male suspect wearing a heavy, light-blue Nike coat. The suspect entered the business, was observed taking several bottles of Tequila, and passed all points of sale before leaving the business without paying for the bottles. The suspect was also observed on the previous day wearing the same outfit committing a similar theft from Rende’s.
