Child Killed In Bedico Parking Lot

A 4-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car in a store parking lot in Tangipahoa Parish Friday. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the store on Highway 22 in Bedico. According to TPSO, the child ran into the path of a passing car. The child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital but died from his injuries. Chief Jimmy Travis said the incident remains under investigation and no one has been charged as of this weekend.
