Blood Drive for Retired Slidell Police Officer

STFPD #1 and the Slidell Police Department are joining others to help one of their retired employees in his time of need. Retired long-time Slidell Police officer, George Skinner, was recently diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma. Officer Skinner is in need of blood donations. A blood drive has been scheduled on Tuesday, January 5th from 11am until 5pm at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium. George was a founding member of the Slidell Police Association and retired as a motorman in 2014. He worked as a commercial fisherman after retirement.
