Dept of Health Update

The Louisiana Department of Health reported 3,946 #COVID19 cases yesterday. Of the cases, 3,060 were confirmed cases and 886 were probable cases. 97% of the cases reported were community spread. 3% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (19%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (18%) accounted for 37% of the cases. There were 61 deaths reported since yesterday, bringing the current total death count to 7,397. There were 1,689 patients in hospitals with 218 on ventilators. The Department today updated its data on the number of COVID-19 vaccinations that have been administered. Since the previous update, 5,203 initial doses were administered bringing the total to 37,969. This data will be updated twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
