The Louisiana Department of Health reported 3,227 #COVID19 cases yesterday, a three day total. 2,829 were confirmed cases and 398 were probable cases. 98% of the newly reported cases were tied to COVID spreading in communities, rather than in congregate settings like nursing homes. These cases were from all age groups with the greatest shares among 18-29yo (17%) and 30-39yo (17%). They came from all regions of the state with the most coming from Region 1/Greater Orleans area (29%). 19 additional COVID deaths were reported, bringing the COVID death toll to 7,291. 1,530 are hospitalized right now with 191 on ventilators.
