The Krewe of Omega, the Tangipahoa-based Mardi Gras organization, announced Friday night that after consultation with local officials and much discussion, the group will cancel all remaining 2021 Carnival Season events, including their parade which was scheduled to roll the first week of February. The nearly 40-year-old local Krewe says this cancellation includes: Twelfth Night on Jan 6, the Royal Omega Mardi Gras Ball & Patron Party on Jan 23, and the 2021 Parade on Feb 5. The krewe says they look forward to seeing everyone once we are able to gather again safely.
