A former St. Tammany Sheriff’s deputy is facing a misdemeanor battery charge following an investigation into an incident that occurred at the St. Tammany Parish Jail last week. 32 YO Justin Doles was issued a summons Friday morning for one count of Simple Battery. He was also found to be in violation of agency policy and procedure and was terminated. The arrest is the result of an ongoing criminal investigation following an incident which occurred Wednesday involving an inmate at the St. Tammany Parish Jail. Following the incident, the inmate involved was evaluated by trained medical personnel, who found no serious injury.
Once the investigation is complete, the entire case file will be turned over to the FBI Civil Rights Division.
