The Tangipahoa Parish Library will host a ground breaking ceremony for the new Kentwood Branch Library, Wednesday, December 9 at 10 AM. The ceremony will take place at the branch’s new site located at 213 Avenue F in Kentwood. Construction for this project started this month and will take 12 months to complete. The new state-of-the-art building will be 8,100 square feet, and will include a Meeting Room, Computer Lab, and Outdoor Plaza. The new library will also provide a much-needed Children’s Area and Teen Space for the youth in the community to participate in educational programs provided through the library.
