The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,641 new #COVID19 cases yesterday, a two day total. Of these newly reported cases, 1,479 are confirmed cases and 162 are probable cases. The vast majority (93%) of these newly reported cases are tied to #COVID spread in communities, rather than congregate settings like nursing homes. These new cases are among all age groups, with 18-29yo (19%) and 30-39yo (17%) dominating recent case growth. 16 additional #COVID deaths were reported to the state, bringing the death toll to 6,407. 1,196 people are in hospitals and 125 are on ventilators. The positivity rating for St Tammany is at 8.1%, up from 6.2%. Tangipahoa is at 15% up from 9.8%. Washington is at 5.8%, up from 5.2%. and Livingston is at 16.3%, up from 12.4%.
