The St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services says the 46 pups removed from a Pearl River rescue in early November by St. Tammany Parish Animal Control officers, have been re-homed. Acting on a report and subsequent photos, Animal Control Officers, accompanied by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, visited A Grey Area Greyhound Adoption Inc. near Pearl River. The conditions in the facility warranted the seizure of the pups, most of them Greyhounds. Eleven of the pups were returned to their owners, and the remaining 35 were taken in by rescue groups.
