Yesterday the Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,307 new #COVID19 cases. 96% of the cases were community spread. 4% of the cases were in congregate settings. People aged 29 and under represent 41% of these cases. 30% are individuals between 18-29. There were 10 deaths reported to the state, bringing the current total death count to 5,829. 684 people are in the hospital right now with 66 of them requiring ventilators.
In observance of Veterans Day, the Louisiana Department of Health will not update its COVID-19 dashboard or other data reporting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 11. The dashboard and other reports will be updated on Thursday, November 12. In addition, the Department will pause COVID reporting on the following holidays through the end of the year: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
