A new clinical trial to test multiple therapeutics in the early treatment of COVID-19 is launching in New Orleans. MedPharmics, a research site in Metairie, has announced the initiation of the to determine whether these antibody therapeutics can effectively and safely treat COVID-19 among adults who have tested positive and have symptoms, but aren’t sick enough to be hospitalized. The New Orleans area is one of the initial sites conducting the clinical trial, which includes both phase 2 and phase 3 evaluations of multiple promising investigational agents for treating early COVID-19 in a single trial.
