Yesterday the Louisiana Department of Health reported 371 new #COVID19 cases. 98% of the cases reported were community spread. 2% of the cases reported were in congregate settings. People aged 29 and under represent 30% of these cases. 17% are individuals between 18-29. 9 new deaths were reported, brining the current total death count to 5,746. 623 people are in the hospital with 77 of them on ventilators. Meanwhile, the U.S. recorded more than 100,000 new COVID-19 cases in a day for the first time on Wednesday. A total of 104,004 cases were logged on Wednesday. Seven states, meanwhile, reported record-high COVID-19 hospitalization numbers.
