The City of New Orleans held its weekly news conference Tuesday, where city leaders condemned the large crowds on Bourbon Street over the weekend. New Orleans Director of Communications Beau Tidwell said the mayor’s office found the actions taken over the weekend unacceptable. Tidwell said two Bourbon Street businesses were issued warnings for selling alcohol past curfew, violating the large gathering rule and having unmasked patrons. New Orleans moved into phase 3.2 on Saturday. Large groups gathered on Bourbon Street without social distancing and many were unmasked.
