Do you or someone you know have an outstanding warrant for an old traffic ticket in St. Tammany or Washington Parish?

The Covington Branch of the NAACP and a community group called Growing Real Alternatives Everywhere (GRAE) are working with DA Warren Montgomery and the 22nd Judicial District Court to resolve those matters in a one-day, walk-up clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at Peter Atkins Park in Covington. Pre-registration is required, and participation will be restricted to those whose violations do not involve a victim or property damage and those without any outstanding felony warrants. Participants will not be arrested. Their warrants will be deactivated, and they will meet with a District Attorney’s Office staff member on site to resolve the matter with a remedy that could include reduced fees to be paid by a designated date and/or a new court date. No fees will be paid on site.
