On September 16, the Hammond Police Department responded to a report of theft and hit and run that occurred at Rouse’s Supermarket, located at 2704 West Thomas Street. The suspects entered the store, took multiple cases of beer and ran out the exit door passing all points of sale. The suspects got into a possible Ford F150 single cab truck, spray-painted black, with no license plate. The vehicle then pulled out striking another vehicle as it exited the parking lot. The unknown black female was wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt and was carrying a baby. The unknown black male was wearing a dark-colored shirt, dark pants and an orange hat. The beer was valued at approximately $300.
