On September 16, the Hammond Police Department began to investigate an armed robbery at the Circle K convenience store, located at 1200 South Morrison Boulevard. Upon arrival, HPD Officers interviewed the cashier who said a black male wearing a grey hoodie and a t-shirt for a mask entered the store and went to the coolers. The suspect approached the cashier and demanded she hand over all the money. While speaking, the male pointed to his waist band, which the cashier understood as he had a weapon. After the cashier handed over the money, the male exited the store and fled on foot towards Palmetto Street.
