The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,353 #COVID19 cases reported to the state yesterday, that’s a two day total. 85% of these newly reported cases are tied to community spread, rather than congregate settings. 97.7% of these cases date back to this past week (9/5-9/12), i.e., no backlog. 9% of these newly reported cases are among children (under 18yo). 27% of cases are among 18-29yo. The state reported an additional 33 #COVID deaths since Friday, bringing the death toll to 5,065. 43 fewer people were reported to be hospitalized at 680 and 10 fewer people were on mechanical ventilators, at 107.
